Heat Treatment Kiln
First of all heat treatment kilns are wood drying kilns. The temperature of timber is measured from 13 different points in the kiln by using PT100 temperature meters in accordance with the regulation. A temperature of 56 °C or higher is applied to wooden packaging materials for at least 30 minutes after the internal temperature reaches a minimum temperature of 56 °C.

The purpose of this process is ISPM15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) developed by the International Plant Protection Union.

ISPM 15

This process is applied to raw wood packaging materials to prevent the spread of pests that pose a threat to planted trees. These are wooden packaging materials such as pallets, packaging support, crates, reels, packaging blocks, loading boards, pallet arms and skids.

ISPM 15 is an International Phytosanitary Measure developed by the International Plant Protection Union (IPPC) that directly addresses the need to process wood materials thicker than 6mm used to transport crops between countries.

Its main purpose is to prevent the international transport and spread of diseases and insects that may adversely affect plants or ecosystems. ISPM 15 affects all wood packaging materials that require removal of wood bark followed by heat treatment with methyl bromide or fumigation, stamping or marking. These are wooden packaging materials such as pallets, packaging support, crates, reels, packaging blocks, loading boards, pallet arms and skids.

In this regard, heat treatment kilns must be produced to meet international standards. Our company manufactures and delivers the kilns you want, in the size you need, with the best quality. The fact that the kilns we produce have been in service for many years, carrying our brand on them, means success and pride for us.
